We have always tried to remain active but it was a challenge to find the time and routine that worked on a consistent basis.

1.Were you active prior to Cross Fit?
Not really – I would try to get into an exercise routine on my own and would never stick with it. My daughter, Whitney, is the one that got me involved. She has been a member for some time and kept telling me I needed to try it. She finally just said “try it for 1 month – if you don’t like it, I will stop pestering you about it” So I said to myself – what the heck – I can do anything for a month.

1.Were you active prior to Cross Fit?
Nick: I had lifted weights and done some treadmill/ elliptical work in a traditional gym setting.
Haley: I ran several miles 3-4 times a week.
2. When did you first start doing Cross Fit?
Nick: Almost three years ago.
Haley: About a month after Nick - he wouldn't stop talking about it!
3. What were your thoughts after your first workout?
Nick: That almost killed me; I've got to figure this Crossfit thing out.
1. Were you active prior to Cross Fit?
I have always been active. I enjoyed competing in spring Triathlons. I finished a half Ironman in May 2011.

I started Crossfitting in the fall of 2011
3. What were your thoughts after your first workout?
I really thought i was in pretty good shape, but the first WOD humbled me. I remember asking myself, "How can my heart rate get so high in just 3 minutes"
4. What do you enjoy the most
1.Were you active prior to Cross Fit?
We were runners before CrossFit and have always been active. The main difference is working out together. In the past, Dave wouldn't wait for me on long runs.
2. When did you first start doing Cross Fit?
We started when the gym opened almost 3 years ago. I learned to do wall balls on the side of Steve and Jess's garage a few weeks before the gym officially opened.
